[exploit] spec_****
by: disc3h
This wont be long but i would like to introduce some people whom dont know about this.
I was recently browsing the "Counter-Strike.net" forums (obviously was trying to dodge a ban =]). Anyways, some dude called
EnglishBob said that you cant do "this and that"... So not to waste my time i went onto CS to proove him wrong .
Here are some interesting facts/bugs regarding "spec"
Code:
spec_scoreboard
This command is the same as "+scores" and "+showscores" - It was designed to be used during "spec" but can ALSO be used
whilst alive - (what most didnt know).
Code:
spec_mode
Allows you to change views during spectating. (Like pressing shift). However this has its own values: 1-6 - Therefore you can
specify the EXACT view you want with out "toggling/hitting shift".
Code:
spec_pip
*NOTE* IMPORTANT: EXPLOIT *NOTE*
spec_pip is the command which acts in the same way as if you pressed "ENTER". However there is something that valve tried to
hide from us .. Whilst you hit "ENTER" you can activate a little window (top left box) which will allow you to see a map
overview + a zoomed in map overview!
However thats all CRAP, compared to the following hardcore exploits that i have found !
Code:
bind "a" "spec_pip 0" // OFF
bind "s" "spec_pip 1" // invisible models + visible weapons
bind "d" "spec_pip 2" // first person view
bind "f" "spec_pip 3" // map overview (zoomed out)
bind "g" "spec_pip 4" // map overview (zoomed in)
bind "h" "spec_pip 5" // player + entity view.
bind "j" "spec_pip 6" // 3d follow //rest are unknown
*NOTE* You HAVE to bind it - other wise it wont work. DO NOT ASK ME WHY.
Not only does this allow us to explore into new "depths" it also allows us to do something very special .
If the server sets "mp_fadetoblack 1" ON this automaticly disables "ENTER" - Therefore you cant see the MAP in the left
corner. However if you just press "F" or "G" (above binds) it will still make the map appear - you can see all the enemies on
it as well !
So even if they are "hardcore-tweaking" their server by setting mp_forcecam 2, forcechasecam 2, fade2black and so on, you can
still SEE the enemies via spec_pip 3/4.
*NOTE* You HAVE to bind it - other wise it wont work. DO NOT ASK ME WHY.
