在希腊神话中有一个以声音来迷惑人类的海妖Siren，传说没有人能够逃离她诱人美妙的歌声，其实在现实中也有一个诱人的海妖，她就是来自挪威的歌特金属乐队——Sirenia。　　说起Sirenia这支乐队也就不得不说她的领导者——Morten Veland，在2001年由于Morten和自己原来的乐队Tristania在音乐理念上有分歧外加一些私人原因离开了Tristania。他准备开始自己的音乐旅程，他开始购买大量的乐器，然后把自己关在屋子里创作音乐。过去Morten在Tristania担任着创作工作，所以建造一个属于自己理念的乐队对他来说没有任何困难，于是他就把他的这份热情完全奉献给了Sirenia。而且Sirenia一直坚持着一个固定的目标——要让一个全新的声音进入黑暗音乐的世界！　　Sirenia一共有四位成员，除开上面所说的吉他手外加创作的Morten Veland，她还拥有吉他手Kristian Gundersen（2001年加入），鼓手Jonathan Perez（2003年加入），以及女声Henriette Bordvik（2002年加入），虽然只有人数不多的四人，但是Sirenia在音乐上有个突出的特点，那就是音乐的变化异常平凡和多样性。
